Back in 2017, Chinese startup Sublue successfully crowdfunded the WhiteShark Mix underwater scooter. And just recently released its improved version - MixPro.
Like its predecessor, the scooter is designed for diving enthusiasts. The MixPro is equipped with two propellers driven by an electric motor. The power source is a lithium-ion battery, which ensures the operation of the device for an hour after a two-hour recharge. The charge level is displayed on the built-in LED display.
The MixPro is designed for diving to a depth of 40 meters and provides a speed of 6.4 km / h. Scooter owners, if desired, can swim in economy mode, dropping it to 3, 8 km / h.
New to the MixPro is a smartphone mount with sealed housings (in addition to the legacy GoPro mounts from White Shark), allowing users to record their underwater adventures on camera.
In addition, the scooter is equipped with a removable buoyancy tank, which is designed for beginner swimmers. With it, they will not be able to dive deeper than 5 meters, while experienced divers can easily do without it. The total weight of the device is 2 kg.
The MixPro price is still unknown. Apparently, it will be announced at the annual CES 2020.
