The Russian arms concern Kalashnikov continues to amaze the world with the breadth of its interests, which have long gone beyond the scope of new types of small arms. After the recent presentations of combat robots, high-speed boats and our own hoverbike, another one is next in line - a motorcycle of the famous Izh brand in “electric” performance for the needs of the police and the army, presented at the Army-2017 exhibition.

It is a very modern and simple machine at the same time. Its power is 15 kW, which corresponds to 20 hp. from. The power reserve on a single charge is 150 km. The battery pack is located on either side of the rear wheel. For practical convenience, the design includes a thick two-seater saddle and dedicated luggage attachment points. The electric bike is equipped with a utilitarian LCD instrument panel with a separate analogue speedometer.

Currently, electric motorcycles are being tested by employees of the Moscow State Traffic Safety Inspectorate. The developers promised to take into account all their comments, after which a series of 50 electric bikes will be at the disposal of the capital's traffic police for work during the FIFA World Cup in June-July 2018.
