Quadrofoil has announced the launch of its latest development, the Q2 hydrofoil. This is a sturdy two-seat boat with four legs, capable of traveling on water at speeds up to 40 km / h. The Q2 is extremely manoeuvrable, with a turning radius of just 7 meters. An electric motor with a capacity of 3, 7 to 5, 5 kilowatts (depending on the model) is responsible for the movement.
The ship's hull is made of aluminum alloy, and its top is sealed, making the Q2 virtually unsinkable. The motors are powered by powerful lithium-ion batteries. A full charge of the batteries takes 3-4 hours and gives the boat a cruising range of 80 kilometers.
The Q2 is steered by a Formula 1-style steering wheel with color touchscreen display. The seating position provides increased comfort and excellent visibility, with the passenger seat located behind the pilot's seat.
The younger model Quadrofoil has dimensions of 3.5 x 2.5 x 2 meters and weighs 295 kilograms. Its price will be $ 20, 800. The older model is equipped with a more powerful engine and has the same dimensions, but weighs 335 kilograms and will cost customers a little more. The ship's deliveries will begin in March 2017.
