Alma mater of Russian long-range aviation, the Tupolev company looks confidently into the future. The glorious "veterans" Tu-95, Tu-160 and Tu-22M3 will be replaced by a new generation bomber in about 8 years. At the moment, several models of the future car have been produced from composite and one model from wood in full size.
The “flying wing” scheme was chosen as the concept of the new bomber. After the adoption of the project by representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the development of engines was started.
PAK DA (the codename of the new bomber) will be supersonic, stealthy, equipped with artificial intelligence and armed with hypersonic missiles launched out of reach of enemy air defense systems. "Smart" missiles will independently assess the air situation and determine the flight mode.
