Another F-35 fighter caught fire during flight

The series of troubles following the American 5th generation F-35 fighter continues. As a result of the next, already the third in the last three years, the aircraft belonging to the US Marine Corps, only thanks to the skill of the pilot, nevertheless landed. The damage amounted to at least $ 2 million.

The incident took place on October 27 at Beaufort Base in South Carolina. The fire took place in the internal compartments of the weapons. The cause of the fire is still unknown. Prior to this, F-35s burned at Eglin Air Force Base in 2014 and on September 23, 2016 during takeoff.

It is unclear whether the emergency aircraft will return to service. Specialists will have to deal with the cause of the accident by all means, otherwise the fate of the ill-fated F-35 will become even more uncertain.
