The well-known principle of creating combat strike systems - "fire and forget" - is far from the only one. In modern warfare, even the most sophisticated weapon can become a target at any moment, therefore, at least two more should be added to the above principle - "fired and at the same time remained invisible" and "if you are found, be able to defend yourself."
This is what guided the creators of the laser protection system, which will cover the "Night Hunter" from means of destruction - the Mi-28N helicopter. System tests are close to completion. Its creator, the Radioelectronic Technologies Concern, has almost everything ready for the start of serial production.
Once in the "crosshairs" of the enemy laser sight, "Night Hunter" immediately turns on its own laser suppression system, which creates an invisible "fiery" cocoon around the helicopter. A missile launched by the enemy rushes to a kind of false "bait". Its guidance system malfunctions, it loses its main target, after which it self-destructs.
