What you need to know when installing electrical wiring in the house

The electrical wiring in a private house is absolutely individual, which means that it is possible to make it much more functional and more convenient than in apartments. But there are many nuances and therefore we go to the Twomen store and purchase high quality cables and then, depending on the type of installation, we perform step by step.

Field wiring installation

The help of a qualified technician is needed to plan the outdoor wiring. He has the ability to accurately calculate every switch, socket, lighting point and switchboard. He can also make adjustments to an existing project or assist in the selection of equipment, supervise its installation and commissioning. Indeed, in addition to the fact that street lighting should correspond to a certain design and please the eye, but also be performed very reliably and efficiently. And there is no difference - to install one lantern for a gazebo or to illuminate a path with many small lanterns. Installation must be of high quality and competent.

Internal wiring installation.

First of all, you should understand that there are two types of internal wiring - hidden and open.

For hidden wiring, the wiring is done in building voids, inside prefabricated partitions, above suspended ceilings or in special furrows or pipes. All power wiring in the horizontal plane must be laid in the floor preparation layer. In any case, it is better to use wires in a general protective sheath - it is able to provide protection against any mechanical and other damage.

Under the plaster, wiring must be done only strictly horizontally or vertically. The optimal distance that should be between the wires and the covering plates is 2 meters. The cables must fit snugly against the strobe and its base. And the attachment points should be at a distance of 0.5 to 1.2 meters from each other.

It is strictly forbidden to wire wires in steel pipes and use wires in a steel sheath. In addition, when wiring over suspended ceilings, you need to use wires and cables that have low gas and smoke emission, do not burn and are best in plastic pipes that have the same properties.

There are a few things to keep in mind:

The layer of plaster, which serves as a channel protection, must exceed 1 cm in thickness.

All unprotected wires must be inaccessible in any crowded places of the house!

The strobe should be free from sagging and sharp corners along its entire length.

Installation of surface wiring.

For open wiring, the wiring is carried out directly along the wall - in plastic pipes, in cable skirting boards or channels. In this case, the height of the laying of protected wires and cables is not standardized.

However, lighting, power and low current wires must not be mixed. And all fastenings of channels or skirting boards to the walls must be made so that they fit snugly to the building bases, the gap can be only 2mm. The optimal material for ducts and skirting boards is self-extinguishing or non-combustible materials that have electrical insulating properties.

In rooms that are not heated (closet, basement, attic, corridor), electrical wiring can be carried out openly using brackets.
