This amazing forest is located in Poland near the town of Gryfino. It is called "Crooked Forest" or "Drunken Forest". 400 pines, which grow curved only towards the north, were planted in 1930. No one still knows the reason why they grow like that. Some say that there were strong winds and they twisted the trees, someone says that they were planted specifically for furniture. The most interesting of the versions is that the breeder decided to plant a forest where people could not get lost, so everyone is bent to the north, but the Second World War prevented him from fully implementing the idea.
The forest has an unusual atmosphere and an interesting fact is that you cannot hear birds singing in it.
In Russia, we have a forest twin of the Krivoy Lesa, located in the Curonian Spit National Park.
